The Ramsbottom Tigers were keen to avenge last week’s cup defeat, when they welcomed Salford De La Salle.
The Tigers raced to a two goal lead with Lyla Hudson scoring both, the first of which was one of her usual thunderbolt finishes. Playing their best football so far this season – neat passing all over the pitch and solid in the defence – the Tigers were unfortunate to only be two goals up at half time.
A tactical switch at half time brought Salford back into the game. Their keeper became their star striker as Salford hit back to make it 2-2. However, Ramsbottom’s Tiger spirit saw them to victory with late goals from Megan Oliver and Keira Pridgeon to give them a 4-3 win.
A great performance from the Tigers and a well deserved victory.
Final score: Ramsbottom Tigers 4, Salford De La Salle 3
- Lyla Hudson 2
- Megan Oliver 1
- Keira Pridgeon 1
