Datum were delighted to attend and sponsor RTM’s TransCityRail North Dinner which took place at The Palace Hotel in Manchester last week.
Around 600 entrepreneurs, executives and influential decision-makers attended the exclusive black tie event on 12th November, to discuss the North of England-wide rail network and the creation of the Northern Powerhouse.
Guests at the event, previously known as ‘High Speed 2 The Northern Hub Dinner,’ heard how rail investment in the region will transform capacity, connectivity and the northern economy.
Attendees at the exclusive event heard speeches from high-profile speakers to include, Simon Kirby, Chief Executive of HS2 Ltd and surprise guest Lord Adonis, head of the independent National Infrastructure Commission.
The event also included an engaging Q&A session with a selection of panelists to include Amanda White, head of Rail Transport for Greater Manchester and Alex Hynes, Managing Director of Northern Rail.
Datum’s directors and guests found this a great opportunity to find out more about the development and vision of the Northern Powerhouse and projections for the future progress of HS2.
