He insists the mostly Victorian engineered infrastructure, may be ageing, but remains perfectly usable providing it is monitored and maintained.

O’Rourke, told editor David Taylor how he launched the Datum Group, previously Datum Monitoring, from a small room above a pub in South Manchester and grew the business over the past 18 years.
