Byte Night Raises Millions For Action For Children
Datum were delighted to support Happiest Minds Technologies during the Byte Night fundraiser for children.
Byte Night is a sponsored ‘sleep out’ night organised by members of the business and technology sectors to raise funds for Action for Children projects.
Last year the event raised a staggering £1.1 million and hundreds of business participated at 10 locations across the UK.
Five members of the Happiest Minds team, Ankan Naik, Narendra Kumar, Srinivas Parthasarathy, Isaac George and Naveen Kaul took part in this years event.
Datum CEO Rory O’Rourke, said: “We are delighted to support the Happiest Minds team and Byte Night, it is a great idea and a wonderful way of raising funds for children and reminding everyone of a serious problem which still exists.”
Byte Night is Action for Children’s biggest annual fundraiser and helps to change the lives of vulnerable young people.
The event today has come a long way from when 30 people slept out in London back in 1998 and raised £35.000.
Now, Byte Night has become a major event with sleep overs hosted in multiple locations in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Last year more than 1200 people took part and the event is now the largest charity sleep-out having raised over £9.6 million since the first event.
