On Thursday 13th June, Mark Hodson, Contracts Manager at Datum, Chaired the AGM for Woodbank Football Club, a local Football club, based at Nuttall Park in Ramsbottom.
This is Mark’s third season as Chair of Woodbank JFC, as well as Mark being a qualified level 1 football coach for the last six seasons, coaching teams in the girls section of the club.
This season the club is hoping to raise enough funds to replace the grass cutting tractor at the club’s grounds, which has broken down and needs replacing.
Next season the club will have 11 teams across the boys, girls and adults sections, and Nuttall park will have 7 pitches that will be used during the season.
Datum currently has 3 employees whose Daughters will be playing for the Under 14 girls next season. The club will also be looking for a sponsor for the forthcoming season, in order that their kits, which are now over 2 years old, can be replaced.
Woodbank has a close relationship with The Friends of Nuttall Park, a voluntary organisation who regularly run activities in the park for the local community, and Bury Council, who has provided Woodbank JFC with a self-management agreement for the next 10 years, allowing them to use the park for football.
